...New AVIATION, MARINE...

.KEY MESSAGES...
Updated at 148 PM PDT Sat Jul 26 2025

- Below to near seasonal normal temperatures through Friday.

&&

.SHORT TERM...
Issued at 223 PM PDT Sat Jul 26 2025
(This evening through Sunday)

It is deja vu today with the stratus cleared out inland this
afternoon, lingering at the coastal regions and flowing into the
northern San Francisco Bay, expanding inland stratus this evening
and overnight, breezy onshore winds through the evening hours,
and temperatures remaining cooler than seasonal averages across
the region. High temperatures today range from the lower 70s to
lower 80s inland, up to the upper 80s in the warmest spots of
southern Monterey County, the middle 60s to lower 70s near the
Bays, and the upper 50s to lower 60s at the Pacific coast. Low
temperatures hover in the 50s throughout the region, while highs
on Sunday will be similar to today`s with a few degrees of warming
inland.

&&

.LONG TERM...
Issued at 148 PM PDT Sat Jul 26 2025
(Sunday night through next Friday)

The forecast will be mostly on repeat this period. The marine layer
is expected to compress Sunday into early next week falling to
around 1000ft +/- a couple of hundred feet. This will keep the
stratus creeping too far inland; however, a deepening marine looks
to return mid week. What does that mean, No Sky July continues and
we`ll start off August as Fogust. Cloudy nights, stratus retreating
to the coast during the day, and near seasonal to below seasonal
temperatures.

.AVIATION...
(00Z TAFS)
Issued at 426 PM PDT Sat Jul 26 2025

Patchy MVFR-IFR stratus lingers at the immediate coast, coming
inland near Point Reyes, across the northern San Mateo Peninsula to
the East Bay, and into the southern Monterey Bay region. Stratus
will develop inland through the evening and overnight hours,
dissipating across the inland regions through Sunday morning and
early afternoon while the coastal areas remain socked in. Breezy
onshore winds continue through the evening hours, diminishing
overnight before resuming Sunday afternoon.

Vicinity of SFO... MVFR-IFR stratus has just returned to the
terminal and is expected to persist through the rest of the night.
Stratus dissipates early Sunday afternoon, with the terminal
remaining VFR for a brief period before getting socked in again
during the late afternoon and early evening hours. Breezy and gusty
west winds continue through the evening hours, diminishing overnight
before resuming Sunday afternoon.

SFO Bridge Approach... Similar to SFO.

Monterey Bay Terminals... MVFR-IFR stratus has just returned to the
terminals, and after a brief period of patchy ceilings, stratus
should continue through the rest of the night. Stratus retreats to
the immediate coast on Sunday morning and early afternoon, with a
low probability (20-30%) that MRY remains socked in through the day.
The return of stratus ceilings is expected at or shortly after the
end of the TAF period. Breezy onshore winds are expected through the
evening hours, becoming light overnight before resuming Sunday
afternoon.

&&

.MARINE...
(Tonight through next Thursday)
Issued at 426 PM PDT Sat Jul 26 2025

High pressure will maintain northerly flow over the coastal waters
through next week. Winds will increase locally on Sunday north of
Point Reyes and south of Point Sur. Moderate seas will prevail
through the weekend then gradually increase next week.
